ORIGIN
Kid Buu is a rapper and Instagram star. He’s known for songs like “Death to SoundCloud”, “Dead Roses” and “Double Up (Run It Up)” featuring Ski Mask the Slump God. The stage name “Kid Buu” was adopted from the Dragon Ball Z anime series. Kid Buu was born Markquez Lao Santiago on April 11, 1988, at the St Elizabeth Child Care Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. He has a fraternal twin brother named Jason. The two were raised primarily by their mother. They would eventually move to South Florida in search of a better life. Markquez took martial arts classes as a child. He attended public school followed by homeschool.

Prior to music, Markquez supported himself by selling toys and other products online. He began his rap career performing under the name “Humongous The God” aka “HXTXG.” He would later change to the Dragon Ball Z-inspired moniker “Kid Buu.” Some of his early releases include “Boogers On My Wrists”, “Amazing”, “Dead Roses”, “White Vans” with Migos and “Eastside” featuring DJ Khaled. Since his debut, several YouTubers have made videos calling out Kid Buu. He was the subject of a September 2018 video “This Rapper Must Be Stopped! (Lil Pump WannaBe)” posted by RiceGum.

In May 2018, Kid Buu dropped the Ski Mask the Slump God collab “Double U (Run It Up) via SoundCloud. It racked up 1.4 million streams plus an additional 700K+ plays on YouTube. Next, he linked up with producer Oohdem Beatz for the viral hit “Death to SoundCloud.” The accompanying music video for Death to SoundCloud has been viewed more than 6 million times. It was directed by LouieKnows. Kid Buu released two more Oohdem Beatz produced singles “Poppa” and “Frozen Soul” featuring Icy Narco. He currently has 84K+ SoundCloud followers and upwards of 5 million spins. He has another 450K+ follower on Instagram.

Following their breakup, Sarah released a 50-minute video titled “I Dated Kid Buu (Exposed) The Compulsive Lying.” Kid Buu is reportedly dating model Blac Chyna.
