July 2024 · 2 minute read

The trolls on Adipurush have reached a next level for the so-called modernization, dialogues and many other aspects of the movies. The makers were hell bent to change the ‘street’ language and they released a announcement about the same. One of the writers Manoj Muntashir said the makers would change the language to respect ‘public sentiment’.

When Bajrang’s tail was put on fire, Indrajit asks him ‘Kaluthunda’, for which Bajrang responds with, ‘ ‘Gudda (cloth) nee babudi, Manta nee babudi, Nune ni baabudi, Kaledi kuda nee babudey (When the cloth, fire and oil are your dad’s the one that burns also is your dad’s). Now the makers changed the dialogues to ‘Manta nee Lanka di, nune ni Lankadi, kaledi kuda nee Lanka de’. A viral video shows the dialogue changed.

The official statement from Adipurush says, ‘Adipurush is garnering an overwhelming response across the world and is conquering hearts of audiences across all ages. Making this visual spectacle a memorable cinematic experience, the team decides to make alterations to the film’s dialogues – Valuing the input of the public and the audience.

The makers are revisiting the said dialogues, ensuring to resonate with core essence of the film and the same will reflect in the theaters in the next few days. This decision is a testament that in spite of unstoppable collections at the box office ,the team is committed and nothing is beyond the sentiments of their audiences and harmony at large.’

The writer Manoj Muntashir said, ‘I can give countless arguments in favour of my dialogues, but this will not reduce your pain. I and the producer-director of the film have decided that some of the dialogue which are hurting you, we’ll revise them, and they’ll be added to the film this week. May Shri Ram bless you all’.
