One of the most shocking news to have come yesterday was the untimely death of Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village located in Mansa district. His assistants have fled but officials are out searching for them.

To those unaware, Sidhu Moose Wala went by the name Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu and had as many as seven million followers on Instagram. He took up the name Sidhu Moose wala as he hailed from the Moose village. He was just 28 years old and was loved immensely by the masses for his rap numbers.

As for his education, he had completed his Engineering college degree from Guru Nank Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana.

He was a successful singer and lyricist who had shifted base from Punjab to Canada post his graduation and his song G-Wagon in 2017 was a great hit number.

Sidhu Moose Wala had also ventured into politics as he joined the Congress back in December 3, 2021.

His singing expeditions brought in great recognition as he was listed among top 50 new artists by The Guardian early on, in 2020. While 10 of his songs were ranking on the UK Asian chart, two of them were top chartbusters.

As per TOI, he was shot while travelling in his car last evening as he departed from his village. He was one of the 424 people who had security withdrawn from their services just a day before, on Saturday.
